Classification: Merlot I.G.T. Toscana
Production Area: Gaiole in Chianti
Blend: 100% Merlot
Vinification and Aging:
"Quattrocento" comes from a small portion of a vineyard consisting of just 400 Merlot vines. An extremely limited production of only 300 bottles per year. The entire production process of this wine takes place inside barriques: starting with approximately 10 days of fermentation, followed by 20 to 30 days of maceration, and concluding with a final aging period of 20 months in new barriques.
At the end of this period, the wine is bottled, where it refines for at least another 8 to 10 months.
"Quattrocento" takes its name from the 400 vines from which it is born. A new winemaking project that embodies a wealth of technical expertise and a strong desire to experiment.
