Production area: Gaiole in Chianti
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification and refinement (DA CONTROLLARE TERMINE) : it comes from
the best grapes. After 8/10 days of
alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a 28° c
and 20 days of maceration on the skins, we proceed with the racking
and malolactic fermentation. The grapes, thereafter,
are put into barrels and tonneaux, where they will remain to refine for 18
months. At the end of this period, the wine is ready to be put in bottles and left
refine for at least another 8/10 months.
Organoleptic characteristics: Ruby red wine. Fruity on the nose and
persistent, with hints of red berry fruit, typical of Sangiovese. Well structured wine, with spicy notes that gives harmony and equilibrium.
Alcohol content: 14% by volume
Producer’s advice: Wine suitable with main dishes, based on red meat and aged cheeses, but also to be enjoyed alone to appreciate it to the fullest.
Serve at a temperature of about 16 / 18C °
